The agreement between us

Terms of Use

These terms cover the Poster Kaaran website, web editor and Android app. They explain what you can do with the posters you make, how subscriptions work, and what we ask of you in return. உங்கள் உரிமைகளும் பொறுப்புகளும் இங்கே தெளிவாக விளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

1. Accepting these terms

These terms apply to posterkaaran.com, design.posterkaaran.com and the Poster Kaaran Android app (together, the “service”). “Poster Kaaran”, “we”, “our” and “us” mean the Poster Kaaran team based in Tamil Nadu, India. “You” means the person using the service.

By installing, opening or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and forms part of this agreement.

2. Who can use it

The service is not directed to children under 13, and you should not use it if you are under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you should use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

You must be able to enter a binding agreement in your country to buy a subscription.

3. Your account

Some features need an account, which you create by signing in with Google or another supported method. Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.

Tell us promptly if you believe someone else is using your account. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is compromised, or is being used in breach of these terms.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Poster Kaaran Pro is sold as a recurring subscription. Plan lengths and prices are shown in the app before you buy.

  • Billing. Purchases made in the Android app are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your card details. Your Google Play payment method is charged when you confirm the purchase.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. The renewal is charged to the same payment method.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your Google Play account, or through the “Manage Subscription” link in the app's settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Refunds. Refunds for Play purchases are handled under Google Play's refund policy, not by us. Write to us if you believe something has gone wrong and we will help where we can.
  • Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Any change applies to renewals after you have been notified, and never to a period you have already paid for.

5. Free use, advertising and rewards

Much of Poster Kaaran is free. The free version is supported by advertising, and some features may ask you to watch a short ad before using them. Ads are served by third-party networks, and what you see is governed by those networks and your device settings, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We sometimes offer rewards, such as free Pro access for referring a friend. Rewards are a goodwill offer, not a purchase. We may change or withdraw a reward scheme, and we may withhold or reverse a reward obtained through fake accounts, automated means or other abuse.

6. Your content

Photos, logos, text and anything else you bring into the editor stay yours. We claim no ownership of them.

You give us a limited permission to store, process and display your content for the purpose of running the service for you — for example saving a draft, rendering a preview, or exporting your poster. This permission exists only so the service can work, and it ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it in our own advertising without asking you first.

You confirm that you hold the rights to the content you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

7. Posters you create

This is the part most people want to know about, so it is stated plainly.

You may use the posters you export for personal or commercial purposes — including printing them, selling them to your customers, and posting them on social media. You do not owe us a share, and you do not need our permission.

That permission covers the finished image you export. Except where a bundled item carries its own open licence that says otherwise, it does not give you rights in the underlying materials themselves: our stickers, background images and template artwork may not be extracted, redistributed or resold as standalone files, and may not be used to build a competing template library.

Fonts are the exception. Many of the typefaces in Poster Kaaran are released under open licences — Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0, the SIL Open Font License and the GNU GPL — which give you rights directly from their creators, including the right to copy and redistribute the font files. Nothing in these terms limits those rights, and we do not claim any additional restriction over them. See our Font Licences page for who created what and under which licence.

8. Fonts, templates and other materials

The service includes typefaces, templates, stickers and images created by us and by third parties, each used under its own licence. Credits and licence terms for the bundled typefaces are listed on our Font Licences page. Where a font is under an open licence, that licence governs what you may do with the font itself, and it takes precedence over anything in these terms that would narrow it.

Where you load a font or any other material of your own into the service, you confirm you hold the right to use it. You remain responsible for that material and for anything you create with it. We do not review, store or redistribute fonts you supply.

If you own material you believe is being used in the service without permission, write to us and we will investigate and, where appropriate, remove it.

9. Acceptable use

Please do not use Poster Kaaran to create or share material that:

  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or incites violence or hatred against any group;
  • impersonates a real person or organisation in a way intended to deceive, or presents a fabricated notice, certificate or official document as genuine;
  • harasses or targets a private individual.

Please also do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service, scrape our template library, or use automated means to obtain content or rewards.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that breach this section.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, templates and fonts, and we may need to take the service down for maintenance.

Where a font or template is withdrawn — for example because a licence changes — posters you have already exported are unaffected.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can delete your account and data through our account deletion page.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. Cancel that separately in your Google Play account.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

12. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not give warranties that the service will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted or error-free.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You are responsible for the posters you create and how you use them, including obtaining any permission needed for photographs of people, logos or other material you supply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Tamil Nadu, India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes or when the law requires it. We will publish the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date above. Where a change is material, we will give notice inside the service. Continuing to use Poster Kaaran after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Contact us

Questions about these terms, or a complaint about content in the service, can be sent to elangovan2109@gmail.com. Please describe the issue and, where relevant, the template or poster involved.
